Wine Tasting in Portugal

Wine tasting can be so fun. Learning about the different grapes and analyzing the different notes as you savor the grapes is very exciting. AdegaMãe has found a way to stand out; with their tasting, you will be given a five-course meal. Each meal is prepared by their amazing chef.

We visited AdegaMãe in December 2021. Located 50 minutes from Lisbon, we arrived and were given a tour of the winery. Our tour guide/sommelier showed us the vineyard, which had no grapes due to the time of year that we went. She shared with us the history of the company and showed us the process of harvesting the grapes.

We were then brought to the AdegaMãe’s restaurant where we were served a five-course meal with a different glass of wine paired with a traditional Portuguese meal.

The service at AdegaMãe is unmatched. Once you’ve completed your meal, you can purchase wine at their shop.

This was the first winery I’ve been to that included a meal with your tasting. I love this concept and I have tried to find this at different vineyards I’ve been to. I haven’t been successful in finding another yet, but If I do, I’ll let you know!
